Welcome to the official website of the National Summit on Women’s Safety

The National Summit on Women's Safety was an important step towards developing the National Plan to end violence against women and children (next National Plan). The next National Plan will build on the existing National Plan in a way that addresses evolving issues and commits to ending violence against women and children.

The Summit brought together a range of experts, advocates, service providers and people with lived experience to explore issues faced by women and their children experiencing violence in Australia.

The event was live-streamed for all to watch on 6 and 7 September.

Recordings and transcripts are now available.

Please note that the content of these recordings may cause distress to some viewers. If you are affected, we encourage you to consider contacting one of the support organisations listed below.

At the end of the Summit, delegates presented a statement that captured the voices of Summit delegates and participants, including those with diverse lived experience.
