Professor Blossom Stephan is the inaugural Chair of Dementia (for Curtin University and Dementia Australia) and is Director of the Dementia Centre of Excellence at Curtin University. She is a Dementia Australia Honorary Medical Advisor. She is also a member of the Alzheimer’s Society (UK) Research Strategy Council and the Board of Directors for the Dementia Australia Research Foundation (DARF).
She is an internationally renowned neuroepidemiologist leading a program of research on dementia risk prediction and risk reduction in high and low- and middle-income countries. With over 200 published papers, her research is transforming our understanding of modifiable risk factors and creating evidence-based pathways for dementia prevention at both the individual and population levels.
