Dementia Training Australia (DTA) is a consortium funded by the Australian Government to provide nationwide, high-quality education and training on the care of people living with dementia.
Established in October 2016, our mission is to improve the care and wellbeing of both people living with dementia and staff delivering their care.
COTA SA
COTA SA is an older people’s movement and the peak body representing the rights, interests and futures of more than 700,000 South Australians aged 50. COTA SA is an independent, not-for-profit community organisation and is a proud partner in the COTA National Alliance, made up of COTAs in each state and territory along with COTA Australia.

Dementia Support Australia is a free nationwide service funded by the Australian Government and led by HammondCare. We offer free, evidence-based support and use a relationship focused approach to understand the person with individually tailored responses nationwide, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via our help line 1800 699 799 or our website: dementia.com.au
Department of Health and Aged Care
The Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care develops and delivers policies and programs on health, aged care and sport. The department is responsible for administering aged care legislation and developing policy to improve aged care in Australia now and into the future.
Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, University of Tasmania
The Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre is at the forefront of translational research and support for issues confronting people with dementia and their carers. Projects are being carried out across neuroscience, medicine, nursing, psychology and sociology, health, economics and policy. Research is based on three areas: cause, prevention and care.
